Notebook imageKeeping a journal of your Sewing Projects with photos and the settings you used, will help you when you want to do a similiar procedure months later and you need to recall the setup you used to make a project again, or something close to what you made before.

Or if you have a smartphone, even taking a photo of the settings will help you in the future when you are sewing a similar weight and type of fabric.

Write down your machine settings, tension, what type thread you used, and YouTube channel names and videos, Tutorial Sites - anything that helps improve your sewing skill. Write down where you bought certain threads or replacement parts. Some folks use these inexpensive composition books which usually cost under a dollar at Walmart or a view-binder and sheet protectors so you can add pages over time.  Whatever your choice, you will be so happy you did this - when you look it up and say Ahhhh - that's how I did it!
